What we're working on...
  • Registration for UEDA's Community Development Summit is open!
Building Economic & Social Inclusion with the Disability Community will work to increase awareness around the connection between poverty and people with disabilities. At the Summit we'll share specific ways attendees and their affiliations can improve accessibility and foster an inclusive culture in their workplace, activities, programs and community events. We'll also facilitate connections that lead to new relationships or partnership opportunities to address economic and social barriers for people with disabilities. In addition, we are excited to welcome Michael Morris, Director of the National Disability Institute as our Keynote speaker. REGISTER ONLINE TODAY!
  • Congratulations to Katrina Hunt, UEDA's first-ever Public Ally intern on being named winner of Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs 9th annual Freedom Scholarship Essay Contest!
  • UEDA project, Take Root Milwaukee, welcomed over 60 individuals to their Summer Homeownership Fair on August 26th where attendees were educated on the home buying and rehab process and connected to local resources that can help them purchase or rehab a home.
